Getting started with your Lagom
Welcome. Here is everything you need to know to get started.
You have just started something different
The first days with Lagom will feel unfamiliar. You will reach for the phone for no reason, your fingers will look for apps that are not there, and the silence will feel loud.
That is not a sign that Lagom is wrong. It is a sign of what you have actually broken free from.
Treat the first weeks as a challenge. Live with Lagom as your only phone, give it time, and let yourself adjust. It gets easier. And on the other side there is a life where you control your attention, not the other way around.
How to activate T9
T9 is a way of typing on a numeric keypad phone: each key has several letters, and you press the keys to type with letters.
Here is how to activate it:
- Open the app called TT9.
- Tap Initial setup.
- Go to Status and enable Traditional T9.
- Go back and tap Select default keyboard.
- Choose Traditional T9.
Done, now you type with the number keys.
Want to adjust how quickly the letters change when you press the same number several times? Go to Keypad, ABC mode, Automatic letter selection and choose your speed.
While typing you can also press # or * to switch between typing modes (T9, ABC, numbers).

Insert the SIM card
The SIM tray sits on the left side of the phone. Use the SIM tool included in the box to gently open it.
There is room for either two SIM cards, or one SIM card and one SD card up to 128 GB.
Charge the phone the right way
Lagom charges via USB-A to USB-C. Use a cable like the one that came in the box.
A USB-C to USB-C cable fits physically in the phone but will not charge it.

Lagom has Aurora Store instead of the Google Play Store, an open app store where you can find virtually every Android app you need. You open Aurora directly from the home screen.
Some apps are intentionally not available on Lagom.

Lagom is early access
You are one of the first to hold a Lagom in your hand. The phone already does what it should, giving you a life without constant interruptions, but there are still a few small bugs to polish.
We work continuously on updates that roll out automatically, so your phone gets better over time, not worse.
Known issues right now:
- Beeper is not fully working yet. We have it in our bug tracking and a fix is on the way.
- Sometimes a popup appears saying the app is blocked by Lagom. This is a known issue we are also working on.
- WhatsApp and BankID may sometimes need two or three attempts to log in.
