It started with a scroll that wouldn't stop.

At age 9, my brother and I picked blueberries in the woods to afford candy at summer camp. At 13, I started selling clothes on Instagram. I didn't know it yet, but that was the start of my journey as an entrepreneur.

I grew up with a single mother, carrying a dream of providing for my family through my passion. No role models, no guidance. All I had was a strong ambition to succeed and a phone as my tool.

In 2023, I started a company that bought broken phones, refurbished them, and resold them. I became deeply fascinated by this tool humanity had created, how so much wisdom and opportunity could fit in a pocket, and how it had opened doors for everyone, not just the few.

But I also saw a problem. Humanity had fallen into a trance. A handful of tech giants were profiting from our time and our souls, and I was one of the victims. I stopped going to school in middle school and failed almost everything, largely because I'd become addicted to my own phone early on, staying up at night consuming content designed to never let go.

What I learned then is the same thing that led me here. I wanted to find the balance between tool and distraction, and realized I had to build that phone myself.

With a computer, a phone, and an idea, I built Lagom from the ground up without investors. 16-hour workdays for years without pay, I took the risk. Plenty of setbacks along the way, but without them, Lagom wouldn't be where it is today.

This journey changed me completely, and made me realize how destructive technology can be, but also how powerful it can be when used the right way.

Doctors, teachers, taxi drivers, architects, politicians, we're all different, with different callings. Just as trees give us oxygen and ants carry their ecosystem, every human has a purpose meant for the people around them.

Lagom's mission is to give the next generation the tools they need to fulfill theirs.

Lagom started with me, alone. Today we're 7 people at Lagom, each with different roles. A team with different strengths, working together to build humanity's best tool.

Our goal has never been to sell a phone. It's to wake up a generation to the truth that God has called each of us to something greater. The phone is just the tool.
